The stillness room is the first room inside the entrance of Diane’s place. It’s hushed, cloistered, with high indigo walls that tower toward the sky. An ancient cupola dome gathers the whispers and longings sent up from women as they sit to find their way back to silence.

There are no sounds, save the soft steps of those who enter, looking for their own inner wisdom, looking for the peacefulness of presence. A small altar for white votive candles is tucked in the corner with a few scraps of paper and a pencil atop. You can leave a worry or two in writing and then place it in a small sweetgrass basket, knowing that you are always being guided and need never feel alone.

It is a place to begin your journey home and one you are always welcome to return to, over and over and over.

Stillness Mondays - Coming 2025

an ongoing online group, 30-minute stillness practice

I’m gathering an online group where we would meet for 30 minutes at the start of the week on Mondays. There will be inspirational readings, guided meditations and reflective writing. Together we take a communal breath and then return to our daily lives, more grounded and able to remember our true nature.

"The quieter you become, the more able you are to hear."

Rumi
