I wanted to drop you a quick note - I enjoyed and got a lot out of your session today. I found the progression of activities helpful - the list making was really an effective “warm up.” And the dialogue exercise was personally interesting too. Thanks for the cool workshop!”

Journey Through the Forest: A Women's Writing Retreat

Thursday, February 15, to Sunday, February 18, 2018

Event Feedback

Every detail was covered. Even down to soothing candlelight table arrangements. Sessions were planned with group sharing and exercises and balanced teaching time by each of you. The Friday night exercise was timed right and very valuable. Loved that you planned a “social’.

This was my first writing retreat and I found it to be one of the best of all the retreats I have made through the years. The verses selected from various authors were insightful and enriching. I would love copies of those not in our itinerary. The structure was well planned and flowed nicely to build our journey these past few days. My needs were met beyond my expectations.

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect. Because Diane and Mary Kay put a great amount of research, effort, tried and true experience, and heart and soul into this content, it was an experience that challenged, nurtured, and called forth wisdom, discernment, and processes I can actually use on my own. I feel empowered, hopeful, and grateful. Thank you!

I thought the whole workshop was more reflective writing but was so pleased at how I could use practical techniques to also deepen answers to my personal questions and end up with a start to a personal essay.
