Your Voice

What’s needed in this world

When I think about all the things needed for the world to become a better place, I know for sure it includes this: more women stepping forward using their voices, telling their stories, expressing their ideas and sharing their gifts.

There are many reasons why we might not be used to speaking out, why we might find it hard.  Much it has to do with how we’ve been conditioned to step back, to prioritize others’ views, and to minimize our very selves.

This week, though, I invite you to consider one thing you can do to use your voice. It might be to tell a story, share a poem, send a letter, or speak your mind. It could be to sit down and talk to your daughter about something vulnerable, ask your neighbor a question, or write about a memory.

Anything and everything, as long as it comes from your true self, is worthy.

What will you say this week?
