As you say goodbye to all that has gone before in this past year and look out into the new year, a beautiful, pristine blanket of possibility, I want to offer you and your business a blessing from the bottom of my heart…
Content Creation: When You Can’t Think What to Write About
You try to post content to your blog once a week, but lately, when you sit down to write, you’ve been hitting a wall. Your mind dismisses every topic that arises with a litany of unhelpful complaints.
That’s so not relevant.
Who cares about that?
Nothing new here, girl. Not at all!
And then, sometimes, your mind can take you to an even more unhelpful place.
No one’s going to read it anyway.
It’s not like someone’s going to read my post and sign up for my services tomorrow.
And before you know it, you’ve wasted a couple of hours staring at the screen. Or you’ve pitched into procrastination mode, busying yourself with tidying your desk or cleaning out the junk drawer. Or you’ve given up completely and moved onto something else, something easier.
Are You Procrastinating Marketing Your Business?
You know what I’m talking about, right?
Maybe you’ve noticed you spend a loooong time looking for pretty Instagram pictures and cute quotes to post …Or maybe you’ve been endlessly researching how to do more and better Facebook Ads. Or maybe you check your Google analytics regularly, but if you’re honest, you’ve been checking them a few times more than normal these past two weeks.
Although all these look like marketing, many coaches, healers and creative entrepreneurs can be hiding instead of fully stepping into authentically marketing their businesses.
Amazing Offers: Get Specific to Market Your Business
Last year we had to buy a new fridge (and then a new dishwasher, and after that a new vent hood fan, but that’s another story…) When we showed up at our local appliance store, we knew what we were looking for. We knew the premise, could see and understand the product, so we based our buying decision on other standard stuff, like size, price point, quality, brand reputation, design, etc.
And that’s different from someone looking to buy from a coach, healer or other creative entrepreneur.
What’s Working in Your Business?
People generally contact me when something doesn’t feel right about their marketing.
And I love to help people connect the dots and take brave steps toward being more authentically present in their marketing.
And yet, as powerful as digging into what’s not working can be, it’s equally important to step back from time to time and ask: What is working in your business?
