Content Creation: When You Can’t Think What to Write About

Content Creation: When You Can’t Think What to Write About

You try to post content to your blog once a week, but lately, when you sit down to write, you’ve been hitting a wall. Your mind dismisses every topic that arises with a litany of unhelpful complaints.

  • That’s so not relevant.

  • Who cares about that?

  • Nothing new here, girl. Not at all!

And then, sometimes, your mind can take you to an even more unhelpful place.

  • No one’s going to read it anyway.

  • It’s not like someone’s going to read my post and sign up for my services tomorrow.

And before you know it, you’ve wasted a couple of hours staring at the screen. Or you’ve pitched into procrastination mode, busying yourself with tidying your desk or cleaning out the junk drawer. Or you’ve given up completely and moved onto something else, something easier.

Amazing Offers: Get Specific to Market Your Business

Amazing Offers: Get Specific to Market Your Business

Last year we had to buy a new fridge (and then a new dishwasher, and after that a new vent hood fan, but that’s another story…) When we showed up at our local appliance store, we knew what we were looking for. It’s such a common thing.

So many authentic coaches, healers or creative entrepreneurs don’t want to be a bother, or seem rude, talking about ourselves or our businesses all the time, so they hold back.

What’s Stopping You from Marketing Your Business?

What’s Stopping You from Marketing Your Business?

“How long have you been walking every day for exercise?” my physical therapist asked, looking at my right knee.

“I’ve been doing all the stretching exercise you gave me,” I told her. “Twice a day, most days.”

“But, are you walking?” she asked again.

“No, I, uh…”my voice trailed off. The truth is I’d been worried that walking would make the pain worse.

This is the same thing I see happen when people marketing their business. When many people think about marketing their business in an authentic way, one with commitment and forward movement, a fear arises, and they avoid moving…

But I Have Nothing New to Say! Sharing Your Message

But I Have Nothing New to Say! Sharing Your Message

Has this ever happened to you?

You sit down with an idea for this week’s blog post. Let’s say you’re a life coach and you want to talk about worthiness. You had a good idea the other day in the dentist office, and now, as the blank page is in front of you, the cursor blinking, you’re gripped with the thought:

I have nothing new to say.
