Your Marketing Email: A Subject Line Checklist

Your Marketing Email: A Subject Line Checklist

Your potential clients and your clients are busy. Probably way more busy than they'd like to be. You know that because you're probably too busy too.

How, can you make sure your potential readers open your email to read your content?

The short, truthful answer? You can't.

There are, however, a few things you can incorporate to try to help make your email stand out, authentically, from all the noise. Today I'm going to focus on your marketing email subject lines, and I offer you a subject line checklist…

Marketing and Procrastination: What's What

Marketing and Procrastination: What's What

Maybe you've noticed you spend a long time making memes to share on Instagram or looking for cute quotes to post. Maybe you've been working on and revising your latest blog post for hours. You really want to get it right before sending it out. Or perhaps, you check your Google analytics regularly, or, well, if you're honest, a lot.

Although all these activities look like marketing (and technically they are,) I've seen coaches, healers and creative entrepreneurs engaging in these and other tasks as a way of unconsciously hiding instead of fully stepping into authentically marketing their businesses…

Your Marketing: What's Needed When Things Don't Work Out

Your Marketing: What's Needed When Things Don't Work Out

When you're building your business (and even when you've been in business for a while) it's completely normal that things don’t work out.

Maybe you launch a program, or a class, and it doesn't fill up. Maybe not enough participants signed up to even have it go forward, and you have to issue refunds.

Perhaps you start posting video content regularly and no one comments, or people rarely engage with your work. Or perhaps you host a free webinar and only a few people sign up.

Or maybe you've finally started emailing your list regularly and you get a series of unsubscribes.

All of these things can happen and more…

Building Your Business

Coaches, healers and other creative entrepreneurs often have fixed ideas about what their business needs. I know I do sometimes. Many times they're focused on greater productivity, efficiency, scaling up, growth, and more.

What I've learned about growing a business is that kindness can mean different things for different people and at different times.

  • What your business needs now might be greater consistency, but it might also be more play.

  • What your business needs right now might be scaling up, but it might also be gratitude and enjoyment of where you are right now.

  • What your business needs right now might be more visibility, but it might also need more connection.

What about you? What is kindness does your business need from you today?

You think you know how marketing is supposed to be done. To successfully market your coaching, healing or creative business, you need to do videos, FB lives, IG stories. Email your list once a week (at least!) or more with multiple offers. Write a blog. Host a podcast. Have a YouTube channel. Get interviewed. Hold webinars. Healing seminars. Be all over social - the more platforms the better…

That’s a big list. And, it isn’t exhaustive.

It is, however, exhausting.

I see many coaches, healers and creatives struggle with marketing their businesses in part because they’re taking the advice out there that says they need to do all the marketing things.

On the surface, this seems to make sense…
